While the winter season is coming to an end elsewhere and the gondolas are being parked, the best time of the year is now beginning on the Hintertux Glacier. For the Tuxertal and the glacier ski area, the motto is: flower pow(d)er in the valley & powder on the glacier. At this time of year, when "Higher is simply better!", the glacier ski area plays its trump card to the full and is a guarantee for 100% snow reliability. A lot of snow has accumulated at this altitude over the winter months, so winter sports enthusiasts now have the very best conditions to get the best of the winter skiing. While at the beginning of the year temperatures were still in the double-digit minus range, the warm rays of the spring sun are now tickling the skin. The Hintertux Glacier has the longest ski season in Austria and winter sports enthusiasts can now ski down 64 kilometres of panoramic slopes from 3,250 m down to the village centre. The Betterpark Hintertux, Austria's highest and most snow-sure freestyle spot, also opens its doors in mid-April and offers airtime deluxe until June!
