Even non-skiers can enjoy an incredible day in the Penken ski area. Walking through the ski area on specially prepared winter walking paths, taking in the action on the pistes and enjoying the special atmosphere in the mountain huts is also possible without skis. As, of course, is indulging in a culinary treat at altitude. To make this part of your Penken experience, reserve a three-course meal at the Granatalm.
Away from the hustle and bustle of the slopes, you can enjoy your three-course meal with accompanying wine in an exclusive dining area within the hut. Book your meal as an early lunch so that you can relax afterwards, take in the amazing views and maybe even take a short walk to the nearby Granat chapel.
The Granatalm is located on a mountain plateau in the midst of the Penken ski area. Reach the hut on foot by purchasing an ascent and descent lift pass for the Penken, taking the cable car up and following the signposted walking route to the alm (approx. 1 hour).
