Since 19 December 2020 there has been a 10-day obligatory quarantine for persons entering Austria from a Corona risk area. There are plans to classify risk areas on the basis of the 14-day incidence rate of positive Coronavirus cases. All countries with a rate higher than 100 will be classified as risk areas. After five days, travellers can take a PCR or antigen test at their own expense. Only if the test is negative, can they end their quarantine earlier.
