The Hintertux Glacier is a special attraction for all visitors in winter as well as in summer. Already the ascent is an experience in itself. No matter if you ski or use your hiking equipment - a trip to the Hintertux Glacier is definitely worthwhile. Since the glacier is on a sea level of 3,250 m, skiing is also possible in summer. A few minutes aways from the mountain station at 3,250 m is Nature’s Ice Palace, which impresses with magical ice stalactites, giant sparkling ice crystals, frozen waterfalls and even a glacial lake.
For those who prefer to take it easy, enjoy the sunshine in the deck chair on the large panoramic terrace at the Tuxer Fernerhaus or at the Sommerbergalm. Important: The Zillertal Activcard is valid up to section I Sommerbergalm (2. 100m)
