Biodiversity and alpine cultural landscape
The hike begins with a guided tour of the Schrofenmühle, which is over 100 years old and has been renovated by now. Here we can watch how grain is being ground into flour. We continue via the district of Ritzl along the varied cultural landscape trail through the forest to Oberstein. We hike on to the Steinerkogel inn. After a rest we descend through meadows and alleys to the renovated Mitterstall. Here we visit the nature park exhibition Kulturlandschafts.Welten. On this journey of discovery along the Kulturlandschaftsweg you will get an intensive impression of life and farming in this extreme cultural landscape with its unique biodiversity, characterized by steep slopes.
